MakalVoice is Back In Action

Phew…I’m back in action at last. Many of you may be wondering, what the hack is happening and why there are no updates in MakalVoice for the past one week. Well, I met an accident and was admitted for the past one week. That is the reason. Nothing to worry, I’m ok…just had minor bruises on my face, shoulder, hand and leg. Thank god no fracture. Had six stitches on my left leg, just below my knee. That is the major wound I had. It happened when I was on my way to Penang Island from Butterworth. The traffic light was green, I pass by the “simpang empat” near Kampong Nyiok, Butterworth and a car just came furiously from the other junction who supposes to stop since the traffic light is showing red. Thank god, I could manage to take control of my bike steer clear of the car and hit a nearby divider. My injury was slight only because I hit the divider. I dare not imagine what could have happen if the car had knocked me. It all happens in split seconds. What I know was a car coming on to hit me and I had to avoid. The next thing…I was struggling to get up from the road. Then only I noticed blood here and there and some pain on certain parts of my body. I was able to get up, push my bike to the roadside and sit there. The only thing I could do on that moment was thanking Lord Sri Krishna. I did it and I mean it. He has prevented me from getting into a major accident. That is all I could think of.

ISKCON Batu Maung Palanquin Procession - Hare Krishna

Well, I am updating about this event quite late actually. Erm…getting lazy to write in fact nowdays. This Hare Krishna’s palanquin procession took place on previous Saturday in Batu Maung area. The procession covered Taman Iping, Taman Muhibah flats, and many flats and housing area on those surroundings. The procession truly attracts a large crowd to participate along with the devotees despite the fact that it’s being organized for the first time. By estimation, more than 300 people inclusive of devotees took part. All of them were dancing and singing in ecstasy praising the lord. Lots of milk, fruits, coconut, incense and etc being offered to the lord by the local residents there inclusive of Chinese and Nepalese foreign workers. Another thing, which could be applaudable, is that the local youths from Batu Maung, put up a “Thaneer Panthal” to serve the devotees and organized drum or “tappe” playing. Participation of a Sanyasi (renounced person), and all the happening around made the event merrier. At the end of the procession, everybody was served with delicious prasadam (sanctified food). As a whole, the event distributed mercy of Lord Nitai Gaurangga to all the people in that neighboring area. Hare Krishna.

Bring “HINDRAF - Makkal Sakthi” Synergy to Another Level

The Hindraf phenomena was an eye opener to many Indians in this country as it brought to light many issues critical that the Indians have been facing all this years without much hope for change. The irony is that the so called sole savior and champion of Indian rights in Malaysia MIC took us all for a roller coaster ride for the past 28 years and that is another topic completely!

HINDRAF

So what glares at us now is the question of would we still go to the streets and demand the present government for our rights or start thinking differently and to act in a positive way what we could help ourselves in spite of begging from the UNMO led government for a penny?
