Our own Mahatma Uthayakumar was taken to Taiping hospital yesterday . He was brought there for some medical checkup due to his failing eyesight, He had a minor heart attack , his sugar level is at 15.5. Some of Hindraf members heard about this news and rush to the hospital. When they reach the Hospital, Uthaya was being escorted out of the hospital by our “world class” police. Mr Uthaya looks energetic and was in very high spirit despite his medical condition. He must have transmitted his no fear disease to all Hindraf supporter there who clearly do not show any fear to so many policemen present there. Our Mahatma was pushed and dragged out of the hospital to stop him from communicating with the supporter there, he repeatedly told the police man there “ Jangan tolak, Jangan tarik saya boleh jalan sendiri” . As he was being dragged out he told the supporters that he will be taken to IJN for some checking.(but till the time of writing this article he was not referred to the IJN yet). There brave Indians who were there followed him till waiting van. One of the supporters told him not to worry and take care. Some even shouted that they will pledge their life for Uthaya.

Mr. Uthaya is a lawyer by profession. He was earning enough to live a comfortable life in any part of Malaysia. But he is now being locked down without trial. Being separated from his old mother , being denied contact from his loved ones, being denied medical attention. All this because he fought for a real cause. He fought for us, the Malaysian Indians. No one have ever really fought for the right of the Indians in Malaysia like the H5 and Wayta. No MP has the guts to even bring up any sensitive issues related to Indians here. But our Mahatma’s…Uthaya , Wayta and other heroes who are now being detain, fought for our long due rights. They fought so we have equal surviving rights as our fellow Malaysians. They fought so our children can have equal educational opportunity. Our H5 fought to stop the BN bloodsuckers from demolishing our temple’s because they thought that will earn them the Malays support. They fought knowing they will be locked down.

BN has used all the tactic to undermine Hindraf struggle. The tried to instill fear before the 2511 gathering. BN thought Indians will fear the police; fear being detain and therefore will not gather on 2511, but THEY WERE WRONG. BN arrested hindraf supporter and charge them under murder attempt, they thought this will stop the Indians from supporting the hindraf and so hindraf will die off, but THEY WERE WRONG. BN used the ISA to arrest 5 Hindraf heroes , they thought without this 5 leader Hindraf will disappear, but THEY WERE WRONG. BN used ISA to deny Udaya any medication , they thought this will kill Udaya’s fighting spirit if not Udaya, but THEY WERE WRONG. The accuse Udaya and the other H5 of link with Tamil tigers, but THEY WERE WRONG AGAIN. Its so obvious Udaya is not Tamil Tiger. He is a LION. MALAYSIAN INDIAN LION . Nevertheless, by then the central business district had been locked down for over six hours, and the protest’s organizers - the Hindu Rights Action Force or HINDRAF - had made their point, that the Indian community was sick of being officially treated as second-class citizens in their own country. Moreover, as David O’Shea reports, the surprising results in last month’s national elections mean Malaysia may never be the same again. Asked to comment about the Hindraf rally last December that Sackur described as
a consequence of racial imbalances set in stone by Dr Mahathir, the former PM
tried to deflect the attack.

“Why now?” Dr Mahathir asked, to which the show’s host responded pokerfaced:
“Because people who disagreed with you during your time ended up in jail.”

OK, its time for me to write about the “Abolish ISA” forum that was organized by HINDRAF. The event mesmerized by germane presence of Mr. Syed Ibrahim who is the president of GMI, Human Rights lawyer Latifah Koya, Norlaila Othman who is the wife of ISA detainee Mat Sah Mohd Satrong, sister and mother of ISA detainee P. Uthayakumar and an ex-ISA detainee who is our new Penang CM Mr. Guan Eng. Their presence itself enthralled the evening. Among other VIP’s were our first Indian Penang DCM Prof. Ramasamy, Adun YB Raven and HINDRAF’s National Coordinator Mr. Thanindran. HINDRAF key person, Waythamoorthy’s wife also was there with us.

Olaichuvadi’s Sathis and myself were given the opportunity to handle the Multimedia section for this forum. The main purpose we got involved in this section is to get Waytha to perform a live webcam chat with the audience. We have been doing testing with Waytha for the past 1 week. Unfortunately, we could not get hold of him during the forum since his flight was delayed in Geneva.
