HINDRAF - PRESS STATEMENT 24/03/08″SAMY-SUBRA NO MAGIC FORMULA”.

RE: “FRAGILE” SAMY-SUBRA PACT IS NO “POP” TO HEAL THE “FRACTURED” INDIAN COMMUNITY. MIC NEEDS TO PURGE ALL CRONY LEADERS AND ABSORB NEW BLOOD WITH VISION FOR THE FUTURE PROGRESIVE INDIANS.

HINDRAF views the “fragile” Samy-Subra pact no POP to heal the “fractured” Indian community who have been marginalized over the last 50 years.

The MIC echelons failed to realize that the real reason behind the loss of Indian community support is the communities’ suppression, marginalization and discrimination over the years by the majority dominant bully rule of UMNO led Government of which MIC is part of.

Indian Martial Arts

dws_time_krishna-arjuna.jpgThe Indian subcontinent is home to a variety of martial arts. Dhanurveda (from dhanus “bow” and veda “knowledge”) is the term for the “science of archery” in Puranic literature, later applied to martial arts in general.

Martial arts of the Indian subcontinent are diverse in nature and have origins of different times from various different regions. Jaganath Misra Feast

Sorry for not publishing any updates yesterday. I was tight up with few things. Ok, as I have promised, attached below are the photos of Jaganath Misra feast festival. It is actually a day after the Gaura Purnima which falls on Saturday, where the father of Gauranga Mahaprabhu who is Jaganath Misra will give a feast to his fellow villagers. Therefore, we had a wonderful procession whereby the lordships were carried through a palanquin to Hong Seng Estate, which is in Waterfalls, Penang. Around 70 devotees were following the palanquin. They were chanting, singing the holy names of the Lord and dancing in ecstasy. It was nice to see those devotees acting as such to make the lordship happy. You should have been with us. After the procession, we had a massive kirtan (singing songs praising the lord and dancing in devotion for him) in the Penang Centre, followed by delicious prasadham (sanctified food). Emmm…yummy… The photos bellow will tell the stories.
