Tamil Daily Makkal Osai Banned by UMNO led Government

Is this the reward for a 16-year-old news publication company with around 100 employees that served the Indian Community with up-to-date news as it is? Indian Daily Makkal Osai can kena ban for doing their job?…what a world? According to PR-insight, the order to ban were instructed by Home Ministry’s chief Dato Syed Hamid Albar. He is a UMNO guyla! It purely sounds like a revenge of UMNO towards Ethnic Indian Community’s newspaper for not choosing their government on the election. If this is not the grounds than maybe, it could be for the reason that of publishing more news about opposition. Don’t Makkal Osai have the choice to publish what the people or rakyat are expecting? The UMNO guys doesn’t appear to keep their word. Don’t understand what I mean? Remember…after loosing 5 states to opposition and denying their 2/3 majority win, their leader Abdullah Ahmad Badawi mentioned that they will be more concerned and open about criticism. Is this the example? The UMNO led government is acting in a way as if they have not learned their lesson even after the worst trash about on the general election. How else you aspect me to say? A newspaper is supposed to publish news as it is, but UMNO seems not to like those who publish the news as it is. There is no value for human rights and democracy in this country. First HINDRAF leaders, now Makkal Osai and what next???

Calls Made for Indian Council in Penang

Awesome news for Penang Indians. Penang Indian DAP members are urging the State Government to setup an authoritative council to handle Indian issues. It should be a one stop consign which should directly be under the governance of Penang CM and DCM. This sound to be an excellent idea. This could be a good foundation for Indians if they can make it come about. Lets pray to have this idea come to live.

The Penang DAP Indians want the state government to immediately establish a high powered state-level council that would function as a one-stop agency to manage all issues and matters pertaining to Indian affairs in the state.

In their proposal made to state DAP chairperson Chow Kon Yew recently, DAP Indian members have suggested for Deputy Chief Minister II Prof Dr P Ramasamy to chair the council, which will come under the direct purview of the Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng and his state executive council.

The DAP state leadership is expected to study the proposal and submit its recommendation for the executive council’s perusal and approval soon.

Samy Wants HINDRAF ISA Detainees to be Released

Sorry for not updating my blog for the past few days. I was in training and I had limited time accessing the net. Furthermore, I was worn out after the trainings. That made me not to do anything with MakalVoice. Hope you people are passable with that. Well, when I returned to work, I went through all my mails and the mail titled “Samy mahu anggota Hindraf tahanan ISA dibebas” as below disenchanted me. Not only with Uncle Sam who is trying to play a Drama out of the blue, but with Utusan Malaysia with the way they wrote the article. It sounds like they do not know anything about HINDRAF 5 when the whole world is crying for their release. Read and give your opinion. The bolded lines are my personal comment.

50 Years of Unspoken Words

Well…it has been some time after the election. If not mistaken, I think most of us are happy with the result as I am and some of us still cannot believe that we have made it happen. Whatsoever, we as a nation have proved that we can choose or trash a government. We used democracy to the tremendous. The “Makkal Sathi” synergy has been ignited by HINDRAF. Now everyone is brave enough to voice out his or her disgruntlements. It’s a big achievement by Malaysian Indians. Everything seems to be going on the right track. However, what are our goals in common? A friend of mine has written an article on his thoughts, which is to be read and ponder upon by every Malaysian Indian. Everyone’s critics and response are most welcome. Please read and brood over…

HINDRAF Press Conference in Chennai

This press conference is actually addressed to our PM who has mentioned that the plunge in support for the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition in the recent general election was a strong reminder to the government that it had not fulfilled its reform pledges. He agrees finally. Pak Lah also pledged that in his second-term as prime minister, there will be a “bold agenda” to fulfill the people’s concerns. HINDRAF has made its demand on behalf of every Indian in Malaysia through this press conference. Lets see whether he’s open to receive our demands or not. Time will tell.
