Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim Arrested

Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim was arrested by the police just outside his home in Bukit Segambut, Kuala Lumpur, at 12.55pm today.

The de facto PKR leader was on his way back to his house after being questioned by the Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA).

A team of police officers were waiting, according to lawyer R Sivarasa.

Anwar was driven away in a 4WD vehicle with tinted windows, escorted by a convoy of 15 patrol cars. They arrived at Kuala Lumpur police headquarters at 1.11pm.

Reason of Arrest:
The police were worried that PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim would not show up at the Kuala Lumpur police headquarters by 2pm and therefore decided to arrest him.

Star Online quoted Federal CID director Bakri Zinin as saying that Anwar was supposed to have gone directly to the police headquarters immediately after giving his statement to the Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA) in Putrajaya.

“However, we were informed that after he left the ACA headquarters in Putrajaya, he had changed his route and was heading back to his house in (Bukit) Segambut.

Anwar Doughter’s Say:
Dad was arrested by the cops whilst on his way to the IPK to give his statement. The cops gave till 2pm for dad to report but still arrested him before the deadline. Dad was on his way back home to have lunch in Bukit Segambut, and then head to the IPK but the cops blocked off the road and arrested him like a criminal. And the cops who arrested him were Special Squad cops with balaclavas!!! Is that necessary!!!

My Say: Politics and Law and Order in Malaysia Sucks. Fed up with UMNO and BN.

Where Is PI Bala?

Private investigator P Balasubramaniam has finally broken his silence and made contact with his nephew R Kumaresan late night day before yesterday via a short telephone call. The police could just check with Immigration within minutes to know whether Bala is out of Malaysia or not. But no confirmation on anything…sounds very fishy!!!

Anwar Vs Najib - Who is Right?

Stunning Claims Linking Najib to Altantuya by Anwar

Private investigator P Balasubramaniam has made shocking claims that Deputy Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak had links with murdered Mongolian Altantuya Shaariibuu.

Najib Denies Affair with Altantuya

Deputy Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak today denied allegations that he had links with murdered Mongolian Altantuya Shaariibuu as claimed by a private detective.

Reading out from a prepared statement at a packed press conference in Parliament this evening, the embattled deputy premier reiterated that he had never met or knew Altantuya.

He dismissed the statutory declaration filed by private eye P Balasubramaniam, who was hired by Najib’s close associate Abdul Razak Baginda to deal with the Altantuya problem, as “concocted” claims.

Lesson Learnt : Don’t f… around especially when you’re well known among everyone or if you’re holding top position in any organizations!!!

HINDRAF Synergy - Malaysia’s Indian Uprising

For decades, the normally docile Indian community has suffered in silence on the lowest rung of Malaysian society. However, with this demonstration last year, they sent a clear message that they would no longer put up with it. Back on the scene, tens of thousands of ethnic Indians - long regarded as second-class citizens - have united to fight for their rights on the streets of normally sedate Kuala Lumpur. The protesters’ persistence, even under attack from water cannons, said a lot about their determination. Only when the police added stinging chemicals to the water were they able to stop the demonstration. Nevertheless, by then the central business district had been locked down for over six hours, and the protest’s organizers - the Hindu Rights Action Force or HINDRAF - had made their point, that the Indian community was sick of being officially treated as second-class citizens in their own country. Moreover, as David O’Shea reports, the surprising results in last month’s national elections mean Malaysia may never be the same again. Mudhalvan Style Interview - BBC Hardtalk with Tun Dr Mahathir

Asked to comment about the Hindraf rally last December that Sackur described as
a consequence of racial imbalances set in stone by Dr Mahathir, the former PM
tried to deflect the attack.

“Why now?” Dr Mahathir asked, to which the show’s host responded pokerfaced:
“Because people who disagreed with you during your time ended up in jail.”

As what makkez says in his blog…guys, this really reminds me of the interview between late Raghuvaran and Arjun in tamil movie titled Mudhalvan. So for those who’ve missed the interview which aired in BBC Hardtalk recently, have a glance now.
