HINDRAF vs POLICE
I was not there at the roses campaign, but I was repeatedly receiving calls - giving updates and asking for updates from friends who took part and from friends who did not. I took part on the 25th Nov event, but failed to attend yesterdays clash. I’m having a bad feeling deep in my heart for not attending the campaign. However, I tried my best to keep MakalVoice readers with some latest news on the event with info’s from friends and other blogs. It was a tough job too. Thanks to roses4pm blog for the live updates.
I’m really proud of those kids, parents and everyone who have attended the campaign. Even if they did not manage to pass the rose, they have created an impact in Malaysian History for the wellbeing of Indians. HIP HIP HOORAY!!! Be proud of yourself.
In the first place, the event suppose to be peaceful, but it turned up to be a battle and again the police have made it happen. “Syabas” to them. The police are actually doing a very good job continuously in creating hatred feeling among all the community in Malaysia towards them. By the way, none of us is astonished with the way you guys handle the crowd. Anyhow, it is hard to blame them too; the curse should go to those who are giving the instructions.
So, is the battle over? Most of us think its over, but as far as I concern – the battle has not laid to rest yet. Therefore, our beloved Prime Minister and the Royal Malaysian Police should expect more to come. It will be an ongoing battle until they are being deaf, dumb and harassing us unnecessarily.
In my previous post on “Guns and Roses in Parliament”, the police mentioned that they have rejected the permit on four grounds. The reasons are as mentioned below with my thoughts.
- HINDRAF is not a registered body – can be solved by giving them a license since they’re fighting for the wellbeing of Indians in this country and not selling bombs or whatsoever.
- Intelligence suggests that there would be groups that would disrupt the planned gathering – even in Thaipusan, there are groups who disrupt the festival, but the polices and FRU’s are doing a very good job there by mingling around with the crowd and arrest those who’re giving problem…so why can’t it be applied here?
- The gathering can cause annoyance of peace and public order – what kind of annoyance can a kid and parent give to the public? Please be more specific next time and suggest ideas to overcome the problem. Infact, police are the one who have created the annoyance by spraying water canons and tear gas.
- The gathering would cause traffic obstruction – police puts massive roadblocks around KL and all roads which leads to Parliament. That really creates massive traffic jams. So now, whom to be blamed?
All this can be easily avoided if the police had given the permit with some reasonable conditions. In contrast, they could have also called those organizing comities to discuss and come out with some guideline to be followed during the campaign. It is as simple as that. But they ironically rejected our permit. What makes them to be like a rowdy? Seriously no idea. One thing for sure, this will never stop us.
On the other hand - We’re being more united, we’re being more fearless, we’re being more caring among each other, we’re being more religious and last but not least…we’re creating history!!!
Valge Makal Sakthi!!! Valghe HINDRAF!!!
