Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim Arrested
Loading ...Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim was arrested by the police just outside his home in Bukit Segambut, Kuala Lumpur, at 12.55pm today.
The de facto PKR leader was on his way back to his house after being questioned by the Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA).
A team of police officers were waiting, according to lawyer R Sivarasa.
Anwar was driven away in a 4WD vehicle with tinted windows, escorted by a convoy of 15 patrol cars. They arrived at Kuala Lumpur police headquarters at 1.11pm.

Reason of Arrest:
The police were worried that PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim would not show up at the Kuala Lumpur police headquarters by 2pm and therefore decided to arrest him.
Star Online quoted Federal CID director Bakri Zinin as saying that Anwar was supposed to have gone directly to the police headquarters immediately after giving his statement to the Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA) in Putrajaya.
“However, we were informed that after he left the ACA headquarters in Putrajaya, he had changed his route and was heading back to his house in (Bukit) Segambut.

Anwar Doughter’s Say:
Dad was arrested by the cops whilst on his way to the IPK to give his statement. The cops gave till 2pm for dad to report but still arrested him before the deadline. Dad was on his way back home to have lunch in Bukit Segambut, and then head to the IPK but the cops blocked off the road and arrested him like a criminal. And the cops who arrested him were Special Squad cops with balaclavas!!! Is that necessary!!!

Najib and Pak Lah worried Anwar will come to power soon.This is one of the dirty tactic by Pak Lah and Najib.Be gentlemen la.Sodomy is not criminical case.That also not proven guilty.Najib also has other cases before.Why Pak Lah choose him as successor?Lot of talent people can be PM but in Malaysian politic play more important role than human capability.Now public dont have freedom to talk……later our children need to say yes to all government order and government staffs including Pak Lah and Najib enjoy the income tax money from us.ACA should ask Pak Lah and Najib and other minister to reveal asset and bank balance.Let start from Pak Lah…Can ACA dare to do that?I lose faith in Pak Lah administartion and lookingf forward to true leader take place….GOD KNOWS.Let keep on vote for opposition and have your say…or else …we have no say in this country……..JAIHIND
Such travesty of justice! Women and girls increasingly get raped, burnt and murdered but yet the Nazi police and this Nazi Umno focused all their energy on such malicious and haven’t-been-proven as true accusation! Besides, such laws are outdated in this modern world and not in conjunction with the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) ; where gays (not about Anwar here) are criminalized! Further, the accuser gets such a VIP treatment and is even invited to that Najib’s mansion; sick! And yet, many victims of violence cannot even get justice from the police, particularly women and girls from sexual crimes! UMNO leaders, you are evil and sick Malays! By the way, PR, please ensure brave Anwar is not poisoned whilst in detention! One last word, many more Malays/Muslims will be supporting Anwar after this; as from the last injustice! Hang on there, dear Dr. Wan and children!! Many women and girls are behind you!
