Police Report lodged against Shah Kirit by Penang Bloggers

Myself, Raaja, Satish and Uma lodged a police report against Islamic Information and Services Foundation officer Shah Kirit Kakulal Govindji yesterday. The report was made against him for allegedly condemning Hinduism in a closed-door ceramah in Alor Star, Kedah.

Recently, the issue regarding this useless guy Shah Kirit Kakulal Govindji who’s condemning Hinduism to his ignorant audience in a closed-door ceramah somewhere in Alor Star has become a hot watched video among Indians around the world in youtube. I really wanted to write on this matter but time does not permit because of busy work schedule. My other fellow blogger friends have started writing on this matter. I was surprise to see on their blog that our Indian readers have gone to the extend towards finding lots of Information regarding this guy including his mobile number. I look at it in this way; they seriously want this guy to be punished. I had the same feeling too. Who is this guy to condemn our sacred religion?

So what happened next? I seriously thought of teaching him a lesson. I was thinking on creating some video response to his videos in youtube. The idea just stuck there. Like usual, I was busy with my work and I couldn’t do much until I receive an sms from Raaja.

Yes, It started with a sms. Wonder how? Let me explain. Raaja and I have been chatting and sms’ing for some time on the matters of blogging. We have never met before, but use to have cool conversation virtually. In fact, we planed to meet few times, but it never happened. Therefore, when I received his sms, i thought that he is in Penang and wanted to meet me. So I replied saying “where to”. He said police station. I was blowout. Straight away I called him. First time talking to each other. He told me that he and Satish planning to report on this matter and need more support. He mentioned that Uma is also in. I didn’t say much. I just asked which police station. He mentioned that they are going to lodge the report at Patani Road Police Station. I just told I‘d be there.

Once I reach there, I saw a small crowd with some reporters and HINDRAF national coordinator Mr. Thanindiran. I seriously never expected this people to be there. I managed to spot Raja in that crowd as I’ve seen few of his photo online. I just walked toward the crowd and introduce myself to him. He was smart enough to recognize who I am. He enlightens me on what is going on. He told me that this matter got to Thanindiran’s attention and he wanted to render help. Thanindiran was the one who magnet the reporters there.

So, I just joined them. After the report taken from Thanindiran, some photographs of us were shot. The reporters went off. Then Thanindiran introduce himself to me and rest of us and he mentioned that he was surprise to see us fellow young bloggers. He was expecting someone on the 40’s. Then we went in the police station and lodged the report, which lead by Satish. They ask us to go to Tanjung Bunga Police Station to give a follow up statement later in the evening.

Meanwhile, after the report was lodged, we were brought to meet our new Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Ramasamy by Mr. Thanindiran. I did not aspect this too. It was a real privilege to meet him. He managed to spare some time with us out of his busy schedule. We informed him about the matter. He just told to leave the matter with police. Let them do their job. He assured to get involve if there is no action taken.

Ermm…What else? OK, after meeting him, we shoot to Tanjung Bunga Police Station and meet up with the Inspector assigned to this case. We gave him the statement. He guaranteed that he‘d start with the investigation. Hope to see some outcome.

I encourage every Indian who is uneasy about this issue to make more reports in their particular area. We need to pressure them continuously. We need to show them that we can’t tolerate this kind of nonsense anymore.
