Samy Wants HINDRAF ISA Detainees to be Released

Sorry for not updating my blog for the past few days. I was in training and I had limited time accessing the net. Furthermore, I was worn out after the trainings. That made me not to do anything with MakalVoice. Hope you people are passable with that. Well, when I returned to work, I went through all my mails and the mail titled “Samy mahu anggota Hindraf tahanan ISA dibebas” as below disenchanted me. Not only with Uncle Sam who is trying to play a Drama out of the blue, but with Utusan Malaysia with the way they wrote the article. It sounds like they do not know anything about HINDRAF 5 when the whole world is crying for their release. Read and give your opinion. The bolded lines are my personal comment.

KUALA LUMPUR 30 Mac – MIC akan meminta kepada kerajaan agar membebaskan lima anggota pertubuhan haram Hindraf yang kini ditahan di bawah Akta Keselamatan Dalam Negeri (ISA). Presidennya, Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu berkata, pembebasan itu sepatutnya sudah boleh dibuat memandangkan pilihan raya umum sudah pun berlalu dan tidak ada apa-apa peristiwa serius selepas ini.

“Biarlah keadaan menjadi lebih aman lagi melalui pembebasan kelima-lima itu,” katanya pada sidang akhbar selepas melancarkan program Penjenamaan Semula MIC di sini hari ini.
Menurut Samy, dua daripada tahanan itu boleh dibebaskan lebih awal iaitu R. Kenghadharan yang kesihatan kini terganggu dan M. Manoharan yang telah pun dipilih rakyat untuk menjadi Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri (ADUN) Kota Alam Shah.

Dua lagi kata beliau, V. Ganabatirau dan K. Vasantha Kumar juga sepatutnya sudah boleh dibebaskan kerana penglibatan mereka dalam Hindraf tidak terlalu serius.
“Saya akan bertemu dengan Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar (Menteri Dalam Negeri), kemudian saya akan bertemu dengan Perdana Menteri dan Ketua Polis Negara, Tan Sri Musa Hassan untuk tujuan itu,” jelasnya.

Beliau juga merancang untuk meminta agar P. Uthayakumar yang dilihat sebagai pemimpin terkuat dalam Hindraf turut sama dibebaskan.

Why suddenly MIC is showing some importance with the release of HINDRAF 5 heroes? Are they trying to harvest support by doing as such? Stop the play, MIC and UMNO is responsible for their arrest and make sure you do something to bring them out of ISA. However, do not ever think that the makkal’s will shore up you again. By the way, they are not terrorist; they deserve to be outside like everybody else. Therefore, it doesn’t matter whether they’re ill or not. They are not supposed to be on ISA at all. They are normal persons who fight for human rights, but the government outlawed them.

Tambahnya, beliau menerima banyak panggilan telefon dari pelbagai pihak dan kunjungan daripada keluarga tahanan meminta melakukan sesuatu agar kesemua yang ditahan itu dibebaskan.

Mengenai seorang lagi pemimpin Hindraf, Waytha Moorthy yang kini dikatakan bersembunyi di luar negara, Samy yakin dia juga boleh kembali semula ke Malaysia selepas kelima-lima rakannya yang lain dapat dibebaskan.

It’s really funny to read the above paragraph. Is HINDRAF running a secretive assignment against Malaysian Government? If it is a secretive assignment, it supposes to be a secret. Nobody will be talking and writing about them or only limited persons will have access to their plans or demands. There whole world knows what HINDRAF wants but Utusan Malaysia does not seem to know anything. Shame on you. They are fighting for human rights la. Is Utusan Malaysia trying to portray a negative outlook on Waythamoorthy by saying he’s hiding somewhere? Come on lah, dun try to act as if you do not know anything. I bet everybody knows where Waythamoorthy is. Infact, from time to time, he’s sending open letters to all the top leaders of Malaysia on demands behalf of every Indians in Malaysia, but Utusan Malaysia is saying that he’s hiding somewhere. Many press conference also had been held by him in overseas. I think only Utusan Malaysia do not have access to their activities. Pity them. If he hides, he will not dare to write letters to the leaders’ or do press conference la. Shame to see this kind of article in Utusan Malaysia. I think they need a boycott too.
