Be Proud of This Indian Student

saravanan.jpgWhen so many students can give excuse for not doing well in government examinations, this 21-year-old Indian student, who suffers from cerebral palsy and was abandoned as a child, had defied the odds to emerge one of the three physically challenged students to be applauded by the Malaysian Examinations Council for his Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) examination results.

S. Saravanan, who is a science student, scored 2A’s and 3B+’s in the recent STPM examination. He delights his caretakes at Kamakshi Child Home, his teachers and friends at SMJK Chio Min in Kulim with such result.

According to SMJK Chio Min principal Tan Teik Seong, Saravanan is a hardworking student who was cared no differently from the rest of the students in the school.saramedal.jpg

A restaurant owner raised Saravanan until 17 years old while he was abandoned. He then struck out on his own and ended up looking for a job at a bakery in Kulim. The bakery owner alerted Kamakshi Child Home personnel who took Saravanan in and sent him to school to attend Form Six.

Saravanan now wants to pursue his ambition of becoming a software engineer. Dr P. Kunaletchumy, The director of Kamakshi Child Home Dr P. Kunaletchumy, is hoping to find a sponsor to finance Saravanan’s education.

I’m personally touched with this great soul who never carried away with all sorts of sentiments with his disabilities and life when many students can’t even face some simple obstacles. The younger generation should learn and be lead by this kind of examples. I’m really proud of you man.

I congragulate this tamil student. But I am suprised at this site for not bringing up the pictures of the two other Indian students that were in the original picture.

There were two other INDIAN students- one female another Male.

Is this site that shouts loudest racism - practising its own racism against other indians.I would suggest the moderators seek the pictures of the two other students too..and put on this site.

Otherwise, this site will loose its own credibility. Please correct the situation.
