Uncle Sam Surrenders at last
At last, our MIC chief Uncle Sam has made a gentlemen statement that he’s not going to offer himself to accept any cabinet post in Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi’s new administration. He also mentioned that he would not return to the Cabinet by seeking a senatorship title.
It is learnt that he has submitted the names of the three MIC parliamentarians - Dr S Subramaniam (party secretary general and Segamat MP), K Devamany (central working committee member and Cameron Highlands MP) and M Saravanan (party information chief and Tapah MP).
New face Saravanan, also the Federal Territory MIC chief, is seen as a favourite to be offered a minister’s post.
Most Indians in Malaysia were celebrating while Uncle Sam suffered a very humiliating loss on the recent election. They were even merrier when other candidates of MIC were being casualties on the heavy defeats in the midst of a swing among the voters, which resulted opposition new comers to win unprecedented number of seats in parliament and DUN.
I’ve never seen Indians in Malaysia acting as such on the previous election. Infact, we thought that we need you and gave due respects since you were the only Indian to hold a high rank in the Cabinet. But thank God, we didn’t worship you.
But, why does that happen now? It happens merely because you were not willing to listen to our disgruntlements, opinion and suggestion by being stubborn and ironic with your own speculation, ideas and statistic. I think, you could have survived with great victory on the election if you would have stand side by side with our brothers and sisters who have rallied on 25 November last year. Instead, you were blaming us and accusing us for doing such act. In addition, you humiliated us by saying that we are simply after the 1 million dollar. You got us wrong Uncle Sam. It was our pride.
Most of the Indians will be happy with the decision you make by not accepting any post in the Cabinet. However, why do you still want to concentrate on party matters like strengthening and etc? Don’t waste anymore time, energy and money by doing so called strengthening, post-mortem and thinking on how to recoup the trust among the Indians to MIC. The only thing you could do to regain the lost respect on you and MIC is by doing something to release those HINDRAF leaders who are going through hard time in ISA and practice transparency on whatever MIC does. Trust me, by doing that, at least you can stop the hatred feelling, which is growing among the Indians towards you and MIC.
Ooops…I couldn’t believe that I’m voicing out my frustrations behalf of my Indian brothers and sisters. I got to stop here, or I’ll go crazy. Valghe Makkal Sakthi!!!

Dear Uncle Sam,
What a pity end…. as i said before the election…. you are the naraghasuram to the indians in malaysia…. the hindraf is the heroes who actual fight for OUR RIGHTs…. i may or may not agree with all the 18 point memorandam that was requested but i am happy that theres ‘Yevenno Oruvan’ - (remember this movie..?) is out there to question for the indians thalai yelethe in malaysia… unlike you or other cabinet who represent US…. yeah you suppose to represent us but over the time only your belly got bigger…. Just look at Devamany (MIC-Cameron Highland) even though he got a political whip just because voicing out in parliment for us… but he won… What have YOU done…? when the 5 Hindraf leaders was detained in ISA (draconian system)…. people don’t care what party you represent at the end of the day… all matters is who is the voice of the people in the parliament…. the same will go to Subra who is neawly nominated person by yourself…. WE ARE WATCHING YOU….. Inbame Sulzvhe Yellorum Valzge… Makkal Sakhti, Mahesan Sakthi
