Boycott Batu Caves for Thaipusam

WHY WE MUST SAY NO TO BATU CAVES THAIPUSAM THIS YEAR?

• We the Malaysian Indian Community must convey a strong & clear message of the disappointment of 25thNov.2007.
• The contribution by Malaysian Indians to Batu Caves during Thaipusam is HUGE!!!
• Average number of people visits Batu Caves during Thaipusam is 800,000 in 2007.
• The Batu Caves Temple Committee lead by R.Nadarajah has willfully organized the attack on 25thNov.2007 against the devotees who gathered peacefully.
• As a result the devotees were arrested, miss-treated & some lost their jobs! The lost is HUGE!!!
• The temple management is controlled by R.Nadaraja & his family members.

WHAT IS THE IMPACT OF BOYCOTT BATU CAVES THAIPUSAM THIS YEAR?

• Batu Caves is the single largest gathering of Malaysian Indian. If it does not take place – The world will wonder why?
• Government will know that MIC is not of control of Malaysian Indians.
• Shows Malaysian Indians disagreement on 5 detained under ISA. The 5 leaders had sacrifice a lot for all Malaysian Indians. This is the least we can do for them.

WHAT MUST EVERY MALAYSIAN INDIAN DO?

• Celebrate Thaipusam else where, BOYCOTT Batu Caves Thaipusam this year !!!
• Include the 5 ISA detainees to be realesed in your prayers.
• Support for Makkal Sakthi.

What a brilliant idea!!! The above message is actually an email circulation, which has been going around for the past few weeks. It really shows the antagonism of our community in Malaysia towards what happened during the 25th rally and towards the discrimination of ethnic Indians. Syabas Indians!!! I personally support this idea. We really need to welcome all the ideas and voices that are coming out from our fellow Indians. But hang on, subject to this matter, are everyone unite? Who’s going and who’s not? If we need something, I think we have to do something and we need an opportunity for that. Therefore, I think Thaipusam is a great opportunity to show our unity and anger in a peaceful manner. To show your support, please use the vote poll on the right of this page to vote your standings. I’m very sure the “no” will be far more then “yes”. Why you should do this? Ok, it is very simple. Since the local media is exploited by the ruling government, the truth is always not revealed.
